Paper Draft

This was my paper draft before making my music magazine draft. It's a very rough draft because I had the idea in my head and I just wanted to get on with it, moreover why I didn't clour it in. I intended on having a red yellow and green masthead (MARMALADE) to set the reggea theme. I also used Bob Marley as the front cover too, but also, to give myself an insight, on how big I want the person on my 'real' front cover to be, plus, to see what type of shot i.e. close up, that would suit the style of my magazine too. I knew that I wanted a graphic so I thought that I'd link it to the main cover line, therefore giving away a free Bob Marley poster. In the background I didn't want it to be plain and boring so I thought reggea smoke (tying in with the masthead) would set a trendy, mysterious mood. The issue number, date, and the slogan were all going to be underneath the masthead, which makes it easy to see and find. The right and left hand justified text is out of the way of the main cover photo yet slightly over laps the back ground smoke to merge everything together. The strapline at the bottom, was also neccesary to show the content that I couldn't connote through the pictures and text within the magazine, adding further information and widening my target audience. Over all it was a productive draft because it helped me remember certain things I wanted, however I did try to copy it too much and I forgot a Bar Code.
